Repayment Terms for Consolidation Loans
You can increase your repayment term from the standard 10 years to as long as 30 years. The longest term available is based on your loan balance. You must have a minimum balance of $18,000 to consolidate with UW Credit Union.
Keep in mind that extending your repayment term will also increase the amount of interest you will pay over the life of the loan. We do not charge any early payment penalties, so it's to your advantage to make extra payments whenever you can—it will make a difference!
